Prevention & Resolution of Bullying at Work
The new Code of Practice (which came into effect in Dec 2020) for Employers and Employees on the Prevention and Resolution of Bullying at Work replaces the former Code of Practice entitled Code of Practice for Employers and Employees on the Prevention and Resolution of Bullying at Work issued by the HSA in March 2007 and the Code of Practice Detailing Procedures for Addressing Bullying in the Workplace issued by the LRC in 2002.

- Management of bullying at work
- Prevention: role of employers and employees
- Preventative measures and actions including promotion of positive organisational culture, effective anti-bullying policies, training for those managing complaints, contact person role
- Intervention in workplace bullying
- Informal processes including mediation
- Formal processes including the formal complaint, investigation, appeals, malicious complaints
- If internal procedures do not resolve a bullying complaint
- Communication of outcomes
- Role of the HSA and WRC
