A Little about me . . . . . . . .
My name is Leesa Flanagan, I am a mindfulness practitioner who has been working in the early years sector for the last 18 years.. I understand the stress and anxiety that comes with the role as an educator and over the last ten years I have spent my time focusing on nurturing my own well- being, to ensure that I can be the best, happiest and most compassionate version of myself for me, my family and the children and families I work with.
When I completed my Masters in Leadership and Advocacy during the pandemic, it really reinforced the need for mindfulness to help cope with the stressors of life and it reminded me to look after myself first. I learned to use mindfulness as a landing pad for myself. I am in a lovely position where I can share mindfulness with educators, children and the students that I teach in university.
I am currently undertaking my PhD where I am exploring mindfulness in early years education In Ireland, where I am hopeful we can bring mindfulness to our youngest of citizens and give them the coping skills and resilience needed to navigate through life.
Love and Light, Leesa xx
