Connecting Voices: A Spectrum of Communication Skills for Children with Additional Needs

Join our workshop to tackle the unique communication challenges some autistic students might face, like understanding verbal instructions and speech and language difficulties. Discover practical strategies to communicate with children, bridging the gap to help them express themselves more effectively.
Implementing proven communication techniques—like visual schedules, communication boards, and Lámh hand signs—creates an environment where children experience less frustration, more engagement, and enjoy their time in preschool.
Participants will receive a complimentary resource pack, including visual supports ready for printing and immediate use. This workshop offers hands-on, practical information you can easily integrate into your classroom.

Early years educators often seek specialised knowledge to support communication in young autistic children. This is particularly important as the classroom presents many opportunities to nurture children's language development.
