Administering Medication in Early Years/School Age Care Settings

Administration of medicine in Early Years/School Age Care settings is a red flag area often highlighted in TUSLA reports and in Mock Inspections conducted by Canavan Byrne. We have developed this course to help you become compliant with this important topic.
The course explores the consent required to administer medicine, use of non-prescribed medicines, care plans, tips to administer medication safely and disposing of medication. We have highlighted 3 red flag areas that are frequently listed.
There is a certificate assessment at the end, which contains 10 questions. You must answer 8 correctly to obtain a certificate. However, you can repeat the assessment if required.
If large text files are not your thing, don't worry! We have voice over on all the screens.
