Strategic Planning for EY Providers
Strategic Planning is a cornerstone activity of the Board of an EY service and the implementation of the Plan between the Manager, Staff and the Board is critical for the ongoing success of the Service. This is also a core requirement in the Charities Governance Code for “Complex” Charities. This session lays out a straightforward process that can be conducted internally by the Manager and Board or with the help of an external consultant. The implementation phase will also be discussed, as will the development of an annual business plan and key performance indicators (KPI’s).
Course Content
· The key elements of a Strategic Plan, with real examples of plans produced by other services
· The explanation of a 6-phase process for developing and implementing strategy
· Scoping an appropriate amount of research on other services
· Creating a mission statement, values, and beliefs
· SWOT analysis and use of the Business Canvas
· Being it all together in a series of Goals, Projects, KPI’s and Business Plans
· Incorporating Risk Management in the Process
· Incorporating the Outputs into the Regulator’s Compliance Record.
