Preparing for an Early Years Education Focused Inspection

Early Years Education Inspection (EYEI) evaluates the nature, range and appropriateness of the early educational experiences of babies and young children in state-funded early learning and care settings. This webinar helps you prepare for such inspections.

  • Help early years service providers navigate the inspection process to achieve compliance with education-focused inspections conducted by the Department of Education.
  • Explain and review the "Guide to Early Years Education Inspection" provided by the Inspectorate of the Department of Education and Skills, which outlines the standards and expectations for these inspections.
  • Describe practical examples of the above to demonstrate quality within the service.

Nicola Erasmus originally hails from South Africa and moved to Ireland 22 years ago. Nicola owns and manages Inspire Child Development Centre - an early intervention pre-school in Naas, County Kildare, alongside a Paediatric Occupational Therapy Service. Nicola has worked in the early years sector, both community and private, including having had her own early years service for 6 years. Nicola has expertise in all facets of early years, from HR to Management, Child Behaviour, Autism, Sensory Processing, Compliance and Quality. Nicola thoroughly enjoys sharing and discussing all aspects of early years with other practitioners through this  training platform with Canavan Byrne.
