Introduction to Risk Management – Registers and Policies
Creating a business risk register around the Governance Code heading of Finance, HR, Compliance, Board and Operations is one of the most challenging processes that Managers and Board are required to complete as part of the Charities Governance Code. In addition, the Manager and Board need to agree an effective policy and process for managing risk and implementing preventive actions and contingency plans. During this session, a template will be provided which will be populated during the session and left to the Manager and Board to complete and approve subsequently. A method and process will be discussed for managing the Register as part of routine activities on the Board and in the service moving forward.
