Inclusion of Children With Additional Needs

Children with additional needs can experience difficulties and challenges that prevent them from learning. For example, children with additional needs may communicate differently to children that do not have additional needs. Similarly, they may have sensory sensitivities that cause discomfort.

This course explores different behaviours that children with additional needs may exhibit and offers you tips to support the child to include them in your early years setting. The course concludes with tips to communicate with parents/guardians skillfully and sensitively.
