Food Safety Essentials

This Food Safety Essentials course is aimed at low risk food handling in the Early Years setting. This course covers the legal requirements of FSAI Level 1, and is part of the mandatory food safety training regime. If your job requires that you handle food then you must have this certification before you can commence handling food as part of your job.

Assessment

The course assessment is the final module of the course and contains 20 questions. A pass rate of 60% is required. You can repeat the assessment if you don't succeed the first time round. 

Certification

On successful completion of the course assessment, you will be emailed a link to download your Course Certificate. The Food Safety Essentials Certificate is valid for 2 years.
You should not handle food as part of your job unless you have this certification which is valid for 2 years.
