The best interests of children and young people are paramount in Childcare Services and the welfare and safety of every child and young person prioritised. To enhance our Risk Management Policy, Supervision of Children Policy, Accidents and Incidents Policy and Health and Safety Statements for childcare services, Canavan Byrne has developed a new “Use of Toys Policy”.
The purpose of the policy is to establish:
- The policy provides assistance and suggestions for Childcare Services in respect of the safe and appropriate use of toys within their Service;
- Responsibility for Toy allocation;
- The approval process for toys being introduced into a playroom;
- Risk assessments and protocols.
