It is with deep sadness that I bring you the news of the untimely death of my dear friend and colleague Nicola Dowling after a short illness. My deepest condolences to her mother, sisters, brothers in law, cousins, nieces and nephews, friends, our mutual clients, her business partner Ivan Williams, Ciaran Doherty BL  and her colleagues at Williams Solicitors.
Nicola who many of you know for her valued work with Canavan Byrne was not only an esteemed legal advisor, to our company, for the past 13 years but also to countless of our clients. She was a great source of wisdom and strength to me professionally and personally.
Nicola had an extraordinary ability to connect with people on a deep level, earning their trust and admiration. She was approachable and always ready to listen. She also helped so many people quietly in the background.
The void left by Nicola's passing is immense. She leaves a legacy of kindness, selflessness, mentorship, and professionalism that will continue to inspire all of us. She continued helping people right up to the past few days.
Nicola, you will be missed, but you will forever live on, for those of us lucky enough to have known your compassion and brilliance. Thank you for being a guide, a great friend, a treasured mentor and an amazing solicitor. Your impact on me, the team at CB (past and present) and the clients we have worked with together, is everlasting.
The Canavan Byrne Offices will close on Friday 29th from 2pm as a mark of respect.
