Believe it or believe it not there are still employers who have not issued contracts of employment or a statement of terms and conditions of employment to their employees!
The Employment [Miscellaneous Provisions] Act 2018 requires an employer to issue a statement of key terms and conditions to the employee within the first five working days. A full statement of terms and conditions or a contract of employment then is required to be issued with two months of the start date as set out under the Terms of Employment [Information Acts], 1994-2014.
