Canavan Byrne can help with Ergonomic assessments.

Ergonomics will ensure the equipment and furniture in a business suits the human body. It is the study of designing equipment and tools to fit the human body, its movements and its cognitive abilities.

Employers are obliged (under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 section 12, General Application of the Regulations 1993 and 2007 and EC Council Directive 90/2270/EEC,) to assess the risks to health and safety at workstations with particular reference to eyesight, physical difficulties and mental stress.

Assessment of the workplace/workstations and redesigning them to suit the employee will prevent injury and will improve employee well-being.

Testimonial

I did a training course facilitated by Canavan and Byrne before setting up my own daycare service. I found this course invaluable to me.There were effectively three sources of learning, the course content, the tutors' wealth of knowledge and the other participant's wide and varied experiences. The follow-up and support between classes was excellent. The content was thorough. It was delivered with great skill and enthusiasm and know-how. I highly recommend it to anyone setting up. I have just set up my second centre and Canavan and Byrne have continued to provide support.
