This course is open to anyone who currently holds a valid QQI Occupational First Aid Certificate.

Convert from Occupational First Aid to the New First Aid Response Standard. This PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) training course is a replacement for the QQI Occupational first Aid.

The Health & Safety Authority (HSA) now recognises the PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) training course as meeting the needs of occupational first aid. The FAR Standard was developed by the Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council (PHECC) an independent statutory body who set the standards for education and training for pre-hospital emergency care in Ireland.

Course Objectives

On completion of the First Aid Responder Refresher course participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate up-to-date practical skills
  • Explain new developments in First Aid

Pre Course Requirements

Valid Occupational First Aid OR First Aid Responder Certificate, proof of certification required.

Certification

2 Year certification of Competence, from Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council recognised by Health & Safety Authority, following successful assessments.

Course Duration and Delivery

The student to instructor ratio is 6 to 1.
